Living Today for a Better Tomorrow – Older Americans Month 2009
Our 2nd Annual Senior Appreciation Tea was a blessing to all in attendance. Each Senior arrived, impeccably dressed, in eager anticipation of the elegant table prepared for them in honor of Older Americans Month. After a brief program of prayer, inspirational readings and a Word from Covenant Connection founders, tea was served. Peach tea was the unanimous favorite. The seniors were like little girls again – laughter filled the room. New Orleans Council on Aging awarded prizes to the hat contest winners.
